Page 8 of the Halloween Mini

Hello Everyone,
This is page 8. I added a pocket and some tags from the design paper.

This is the inside cover. I have created a pocket that holds an envelope made of grocery sack paper. The part with the mirror is a flap. I created the mirror by painting a chipboard frame black and red acrylic. I then added some crackle paint. I added 3 layers of UTEE to some silver paper then froze it for a couple of minutes and then bent it to make the cracks.
The open flap has a chipboard swirl that I covered with design paper. I treated the image the same as the mirror. The image is from The Graphics Fairy. (There is a link on my sidebar.)

These are the tags from the pages. The pumpkin image is also from the Daisy D Halloween paper. The shipping tag was from an image swap I was in. (Thanks Olga.)

That's it for now. There will be one more post to this mini to show the tags inside the envelope. Thanks for the visit. until next time, happy scrappin,
Lela

Halloween Mini Pages 6 and 7

Hello Everyone,

Back once more with pages from my Halloween paper bag mini. These are pages 6 and 7. The only thing I did since the in-progress photos was to add tags.

I added some red bling to the spiders. The top right tag has a German train station ticket. Again, this mini is for a German friend so I couldn't resist adding it. The ticket is from some Stampin Up paper that I've had for a few years. I simply added some cut out pumpkins to the tag on the bottom left. The bottom right is another image from the Daisy D paper. The backs simply have some journaling lines.

This is the page 6 bag tag. Again I have used a Daisy D paper image. The back has some journaling paper from Basic Grey. It has German writing on it.

Here is the treat bag for page 7. The spider is a drink label that I have backed with black paper to serve as a photo mat. It is removable so the background can hold a photo as well.

This is my favorite layout from the mini. That's all for now. Thanks for the visit. Until next time, happy scrappin,
Lela

Yet More Halloween Mini Pages

Hello Everyone,
Back again with another page from the Halloween paper bag mini. This is page 4 and 4b. I didn't do alot to these pages since I posted them in progress. I made tags and added a prima flower that I inked and added some bling. I also added one of the black cats from the design paper that I covered in glossy accents.

These are the tags. The left tag goes into the bag. It was from an image swap. All I did was add some splashes of Aged Mahogany DI. The other 3 are shipping tags that I inked, stamped and embossed. The one second from the left uses a Tim Holtz technique called rusted enamel, I think. I learned how to do it from Arlene. Her YT channel is mybutterflykisses12. I used black velvet ribbon and tulle for the fibers.
I won't show page 5 again. I showed it in a previous post. Here is the treat bag for page 5. The witch is a label for drinks but I backed it with black paper for use as a photo mat. It does come off the other tag so both can be used for photos.

Well that's it for now. I'll be back tomorrow for another exciting page reveal. Thanks for stoppin by. Until next time happy scrappin.

More Halloween Pages

Hello Everyone,

I'm back once again with more Halloween pages. I've already shown you page 1 in a previous post so I will start with the tag that comes in the paper bag for page 1. Each bag has a tag inside of a Martha Stewart treat bag. This paper is from the collection that I've used throughout the mini, "The Spider's Web" by My Mind's Eye.

Pages 2 and 3 are pockets that are covered with some black trim and the same rose trim from Hobby Lobby that was on the front cover.
The tag on the left was a shipping tag that I inked with DI, stamped and attached some flowers. The middle tag is design paper and a cat stamp. The right tag I covered with design paper, stamped and attached a skull charm.

This is the bag tag for page 2, front and back. The image is from some Daisy D paper from long ago. The back is some Basic Grey (?) Basics. There is some German on the paper so I couldn't resist using it since the mini is for my German friend.

This is the treat bag for page 3. The orange piece is supposed to be for decorating a drink bottle but I have turned it into a photo mat. It does come off of the photo mat behind it so both of them can be used for photos.

Well that's all for now. I'll be back tomorrow for another edition of the Halloween mini.
Thanks for the visit and until next time, happy scrappin,
Lela

More Halloween Mini Pages

Hello Everyone,

I've finally finished the paperbag Halloween mini for my friend. I will be posting photos daily until I've shown the whole thing. Let's start with the cover. I have created a torn wall paper look by putting the designer paper on corrugated cardboard and tearing it. I have whitewashed and inked the corrugation to look like slats in old plaster walls. There are some Prima E-Lines that I inked and glittered and some Prima pearls. There is a skull charm that I got in an image swap. (Thanks Olga.) The black button holds the rubber band that serves as a closure. To the left is some Hobby Lobby Rose Ribbon trim. The charms are a TH fragment backed with a spider, a silver locket, a framed witch, and an old skeleton key.

This is the inside cover. I used the cat background to match page 1. The tag is from some Daisy D Halloween paper that I've had for many years. There will be more of these images to come.

This is the whole tag. The back is covered in grocery sack paper and inked for a photo spot.
Well that's the beginning. Stay with me over the next few days as I share the rest. Thanks for the visit. Til next time happy scrappin.

Halloween Pages Part 1

Hello Everyone,

Here are a couple of completed pages of my Halloween mini. This will be the first page in the mini and the small page will be attached to the front cover. I have added some red bling. I also added a red and black flower. They were white Prima E-Lines. Along the edge is some small pompom trim. This page will act as a photo page.

This is the middle page. On the half page I have added a stamped gate by Inkadinkadoo. On the right is an envelope, inspired by Maya Road, made from grocery sack paper. And I have added a flower and black bling. This flower as well as the previous ones I hand dyed with Distress inks.
These are the tags in the iron gate pocket and the insert from the envelope. The pumpkin and cat tags are both tags from the paper line, "The Spider's Web" by My Mind's Eye. The red tag I received as part of an image swap hosted by Steffogal1. I inked it with Aged Mahogany DI and clipped the three together with a Making Memories garment pin.

This is the back view. Ihave added journaling lines to the tags. The blood spatter on the insert, both front and back views, was with the Splat set by Recollections.

Stay tuned for more. Thanks for stoppin by. Til next time, happy scrappin.

ATC Swaps

Hello Everybody,

I've been doing some ATC swaps lately. Here is a one on one I swapped with Connie. We are going to trade one each quarter for the four seasons. The background was made by gluing down lots and lots of tiny leaves punched from scraps. I then put on a layer of mod podge. I painted the leaf using water color crayons and watercolor pencils on watercolor paper. The sentiment is a G Studio that I stamped with Timberbrown Staz-On. I added some watercolor to it as well.

These next four were trades I received from the Vintage Travel Swap on ATCs for All. Italy is from Laurels567.
This Chinese one is from Jensaz.

The Journey one is from Loubie.

Egypt was a bonus one and is from Bluelotusflower.

Thanks for the wonderful cards.
That's it for now. Stay tuned for more Halloween mini photos. They're coming soon.
Thanks for the visit and thanks for stoppin by. Until next time happy ATCn.

Not Such an Ordinary Paper Bag Anymore II

Hello Everyone,
This is the next installment of my paper bag Halloween mini album. These two pages are in the middle so they have the small half page. I have placed a pocket on both. I have embossed the swirls with black embossing.

This is the reverse side of the small page. I have embossed a witch flying across and a flourish in the corner. I'm thinking I will add red flowers to these pages along with some blood drops.
This is the last page of the album. I stamped the damask by Inkadinkadoo using Real Red craft ink from SU. I distressed the edges with my distress tool and then did black heat embossing around the pages. The right side is the small half flap that will be attached to the back cover. In addition to the red ink, I used clear embossing over it.

From now on I will be working on the album page by page. That's it for now. Thanks for stoppin by. Til next time, happy scrappin.

Not Such an Ordinary Paper Bag Anymore

Hello Everyone,

Well, my paper bag is no longer so ordinary as you can see by the photos. I painted the edges with black acrylic paint. I did it roughly as you might do a whitewash so some of the bag still shows through. This first photo is page one. I am using the My Mind's Eye "The Spider's Web" paper collection from last year. I have inked the paper edges with Black Soot DI. I added glossy accents to the black cat in the lower right as well as the black swirls on the left side of the page. I plan to have the color red and black embossing (or glossy accents) on each page. Eventually I will add some red bling to this page.

On this page I have made a torn wallpaper effect. I used black embossing powder on the black stripes. I splattered blood on the walls by using SU Real Red craft ink and Recollections stamps by Michaels.

This page has a pocket on dimensionals so that I can put in some thick tags. I've done some embossing under the red ribbon which is red velvet.
I also distressed all the paper edges using a distress tool. My theme for this album is like a haunted house which is why it isn't very "halloweeny" yet. I am making the background papers sort of like wallpaper. I will add the Halloween style images as I add tags and pockets and embellishments. I will post more pages soon.
Thanks for the visit. I appreciate any comments. Until next time, happy scrappin.

An Ordinary Paper Bag

Hello Everyone,

Halloween is quick upon us and so I have begun a Halloween mini for a friend. I am using the humble paper bag as a beginning.

I have taken 4 paper bags and attached them together as you can see in this top view. These bags are ordinary lunch bags that you can find at your local grocers. They are also available at Hobby Lobby and Michaels.
The above photo is an overview and this photo show the album flat. There are many YouTube videos showing how to put together a paperbag album. I am using a method that Kathryn uses. (YT name desdichaedo)

I will be posting photos as I make this one. My goal is to be finished by Oct. 20th. The friend I'm making this for lives in German y and I'd like her to have it by Halloween.
Thanks for the visit and until next time, happy scrappin,
Lela
