Blog Hop

Hey everyone,

I'm in a blog hop. It was started by Tresa Black at Fabulously Artsy. It's a Halloween hop so here are the photos again of my Halloween cards. They are made from paper bags and were inspired by Aaron Brown who gave a Ustream tutorial recently as part of Tresa Black's Creative University. (You can find the video on Ustream under "thestampgoddess.") For more information on the products used on the card, please see my archive list for the Crop Til You Drop blog entry.

Enjoy the hop.

Until next time happy cardmakin,

Lela

Knitting Card

Hello Everyone,

Here is another project I completed at the Crop Til You Drop crop on Saturday. It is a card for a friend who knits. It is a card with pockets for tags. i learned how to do it from someone on YouTube. I don't remember who. It was several months ago. The black and white base is a designer paper from Stampin Up. The flowers leaves and spot were from some paper in my stash. I've had it at least 7 years and have no idea whose line it is.

The inside is Pixie Pink card by Stampin Up as is the yarn stamp. I used versamark and Archival Ink to stamp and colored in with some markers.

The tags are covered with more of that same paper. The sweater is another Stampin Up stamp. I put pink rings after this photo was made.
Well, that's it for now. Until later, happy stampin.

Crop Til You Drop

Hello Everyone,
I'm trying to recover from a crop I went to yesterday from 2:00-Midnight. It was aptly named Crop til You Drop. I was able to complete a few projects including this Fall/Thanksgiving card. The card is a paper bag card and was inspired by Aaron Brown who gave a Ustream tutorial recently as part of Tresa Black's Creative University. (You can find the video on Ustream under thestampgoddess.) The cover background paper is an old, old DCWV paper. The sentiment by Autumn Leaves (I think) is stamped with Timberbrown Staz-On on a pieces of Stampin Up paper. The tiny leaf is from a 1.00 stamp set from JoAnns and was stamped in Fired Brick DI.

The inside left is stamped with MS leaf stamps in Fired Brick DI. The inside background is by Stampin Up and I used Vintage Photo DI around the edges. I also used Vintage Photo on all of the paper bag edges.

I also did this Halloween card using the same style. The background paper is from my stash and is of unknown origin. The stamps are from a 1.00 set from JoAnns. The sentiment is a CTMH stamp. They were stamped using Ranger Archival Ink.

The chandeliers are from the same set as on the front. The inside background again is from my stash from so long ago that I no longer know the manufacturer. The sentiment is a CTMH stamp. Again, everything is stamped using Archival Ink.

I will be entering the Fall card in a challenge on The Scrap Beach. The challenge is to use the colors red, orange, blue and brown.
Well that's it for now. Until next time happy cardmakin.

ATC Swaps

Hello Everyone,
I've been busy making some ATCs for swaps. Thought I'd share. This first one, "Old Luggage," is for a swap at ATCs for All. The theme is vintage travel. I used some leather-like paper to create a suitcase look for the outside. I attached some small postage stamp collage paper to it to look like vintage luggage stamps. I used some more collage posters on the inside. I also did some stamping with Tim Holtz and $1.00 stamps from somewhere. It's been aged with Tea Dye and Vinatge Photo DI. The base is a frozen pizza box that I covered with grocery bag paper.

These three I'm swapping with Fiona. We met at "the Beach." We are swapping 3 for 3 any theme. I made them all different themes but with the same basic layout. Again I have used pizza box the base. For"Dixie Flyer" I stamped with a $1.00 stamp set and inked with various DIs. "Parisian Dreams" was stamped on a rose background that I had used glossy mod podge on so that it stamped in a dream-like way. The flowers were from a Rak I received. "Life's a Stitch" uses stamps from a Crafty Secrets set. I stamped on tissue paper for the background. I attached a tiny pin as well. They all use more of the collage images from Hot Off the Press.

This was my first ATC. It is on glossy paper. I used a resist technique with alcohol inks. The stamps are by Tim Holtz. This one is being swapped with Connie who I met during a UStream chat.

Well that's it for now. Thanks for the visit and happy stampin.
