Stars and Stripes Stamptacular Sunday Challenge

Hello Everyone,

Here is a card I made for the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge and it is also for my friend Dianne. I have been making a July 4th card for her for several years now. The challenge was to use stars and stripes. I decided to do a play on "Stars and Stripes Forever" by doing "Stars and Friends Forever."

I used paper by My Mind's Eye and The Paper Studio. To give the paper a more vintage look, I stamped over the striped paper with stamps from Tim Holtz The Journey. I inked the edges using Vintage Photo distress ink. Little bit of tearing going on, too.

The face is from Vintage Ladies by Hot off the Press and uses Chocolate Chip craft ink from Stampin' Up. Her starry crown is from the Printworks Collection Elegant Patterns. I stamped it with Fired Brick distress ink and embossed with UTEE. The Friends Forever is by Studio G and is stamped in Staz-On. The Friends is stamped on transparency.
I hope she likes it.
Thanks for stoppin in. Comments are appreciated.
Till next time, happy scrappin.
Lela
